In 2021, I created a series of comics and illustrations about the Silk Roads and the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Central Asia for UNESCO's Almaty office. For the comic component, the task was to share knowledge and information through short stories designed for Instagram and social media. This required a square page format, simple color palette, easily readable text, and frames that could be rearranged for a classic A4 page format. It was also important to make the stories engaging for both local (Central Asian) and international audiences, available in both English and Russian.
